What Could Cause Sharp Pain Behind Left Breast After Drinking Liquids?

I am having a sharp pain behind my left breast. It started yesterday ( and I have had it occasionally over the years) but not for this long. I determined that the pain only occurs when I am drinking liquids? Just not sure what it is? I am a 48 yr old woman, in great health and 5'4' 130lbs.

Dear- thanks for using our service . This pain when drinks liquids could be from local esophageal irritation. You didn't specify if it was related to cold or hot liquids but most likely doesn't happen with room temperature liquids. I recommend you to have a gastroenterologist evaluation with an upper endoscopy to see if there is any ulcer or lesion giving you this problem.
I hope that my advise has been helpful
