What Could Cause Numbness And Tingling Sensation Of Limbs?

I have been having mumbness and tingling in my limbs when I sit or lay down. I am obese and on top of that I have had lower back problems because I have very large breasts, could this just be that my weight is causing this or could this be a sign of diabities?

Dear patient,

thanks for the query. Indeed, obesity is a major risk factors for diabetes, and one of the initial manifestations of long-standing undiagnosed diabetes can be peripheral neuropathy, manifested as either pain in the form of pins and needles, or numbness, usually in a "stocking and glove" distribution.

Your physician can order a simple test called Hemoglobin A1C to screen for diabetes; you should also have your cholesterol panel checked.

Hope this helps, wish you the best,
