Hello Doctor, I am a 27 yrs old female... i had a mild lower left abdominal pain three days back....it was not a continuous pain.......and was not actually irritating.....but from yesterday night i have an itching sensation inside the stomach .......its really irritating and i am afraid too...pls give me a solution......
Hi. Thanks for your query, albeit short and specific. Noted the history and understood the concerns. The commonest causes of pain and itching in left lower abdomen in a female of 27 are one of the following: Colitis of left colon or sigmoid colon called colitis the cause of which needs to be diagnosed by tests of stool, urine and blood. Ultrasound of abdomen: it also helps to see for other causes like ovarian cyst and its twisting by color Doppler mode. Another being stone in left ureter with or without any urinary tract infection. Further investigations after clinical evaluation by your Doctor or specialist will give the most proper diagnosis and gives plan of management.
