i keep getting a hunger-like pain in my stomach, however i have significantly cut down the amount i eat in the past week so i'm wondering if that's why, however just now i burped up brown vomitty stuff so im not sure if thats food residue or something more sinsiter
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood your concerns. Reducing the diet suddenly may be for some reason can cause hyperacidity and hunger like pain, in fact these may be hunger pains only as you have reduced your intake. This can be tackled by taking small frequent meals. PPI like Omeprazole and ANtacids every three hours. If these things do not help you have to go for an upper GI Endoscopy, ultrasonography of the abdomen and tests of blood and stool as you have had brown colored vomitus. Consult your Doctor immediately as you had brown vomiting which may be due to bleeding from esophagus or stomach - gastritis or an ulcer which needs a long course of medications and diet changes as discussed above.
