What Could Cause Foot Blister?

Hi, I have been to see three doctors in the pas two weeks in regards to my condition. I will explain the best i can my condition. It all started with a blister on my foot, then it proceeded to an extremely bad rash, with tiny blisters, the itch is almost unbearable and it is sore. THe first doctor told me that all I had was a Skin irritation and prescribed me some ointment. The second doctor said the same as the first. After almost a month of soreness, itchyness and not been able to sleep at night, I went to the emergency department yesterday and the doctor told me she thought I have a skin fungal infection which i am to apply twice a day for two weeks and that I should follow up with my own doctor. I have seen no improvement in a month. Do you have any comments or suggestions. ( the itch is constant) The fungal cream is Ketoderm. Thanks

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,

As per your case history, you are suffering from Pompholyx.

My treatment advice is:
1. Do not squeeze the lesions as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic plus steroid cream like Fusiderm-B cream twice daily on the affected skin.
3. Take an antihistamine medicine like Levocetirizine twice daily for 7 to 10 days.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, and oral steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshit Bhachech
