What Could Cause Diarrhea?

Have had changes in bowel habits for past 3 months (constipation/diarrhea/mucus, etc). CT scan revealed ovarian cyst despite complete hysterectomy 10 yrs ago. Had sonogram yesterday--confirmed 8cm complex debated ovarian-remnant cyst (very painful process). Surgery to be scheduled next week. Horrible pain yesterday, last night & today foul-smelling stools---only mucus & continued moderate pain level. Wondering if cause of stool change related to aggressive sonogram/possible ruptured cyst?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, ovarian cyst and the history of diarrhea are not related with each other and it may be due to infection, protozoa could be the likely organism responsible for diarrhea and it can be well managed with Tab Metronidazole 400 mg twice in day for five days, and hope this information helps.
