What Could Cause A Tiny Lip Coloured Bump On The Lip?
I have a tiny lip coloured bump on my top outer lip. On the lip not skin. I only noticed it cause the skin looked pinker or more redder. It appeared suddenly and has been a week. It is soft and squishy but does not pop. Does not bleed. Not scalie. Not flakie. No pain. Has not changed in a week.
It is not a cold sore or herpe as those usually tingle and I don't commonly get those.
What could this be as always fear the worst....

according to query. Not to take tension much,lip colour bump could be because of two reason:
1. Mucocele- but usually mucocele happen in lower lip due to trauma, its nothing but a false cyst of salivary gland. so this may not be your probablity.
2. Fibroma: its nothing but a soft tissue growth of connective tissue which is pink in colour, painless, not bleed. so, not to worry much. you should visit your dentist and get it removed which is a only treatment.
for the confirmation to remove all doubts you can send that tissue for histopathology.
