What Could Be The Reasons For Having Yellowish Vaginal Discharge And Sharp Pain In Vagina At 35th Week Of Pregnancy?

I am 35 weeks and 5 days pregnant.lately I've been having more vaginal discharge then usual however, last night I went to the bathroom and I noticed it is more yellowish like it has a yellow tinge to it. Also this morning I have been getting more frequent sharp (knifing) pain in my vagina?

Hi,
The vaginal discharge is normally increased at 35 weeks of pregnancy.
- The pain in vagina you refer to,& the discharge may be due to cervical dilatation/uplifting that occurs at the later part of 9th month.
- The yellowish tinge to the discharge with itching/burning in urine needs a treatment for local infection..
-- If the pain is associated with tightening of uterus, increasing in intensity & comming periodically- you should visit your obstratritian for internal check up & admission for delivary if required.
