Hello doctor. My 1year 3 mnthz old baby is very disturbed from 2 days, she is not taking my milk, am still breast feeding her and also not eating outside food, if i make her eat something she vomits at the very moment, just too irritated. What could be the reason? : (
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood the concerns. The commonest reasons for vomiting in a small child of one year and three months old baby are as follows: Intolerance to certain foods and beverages that you must be trying with. GI disturbance as the child of this age start putting anything in mouth or plays in the ground, on floor and puts the fingers in mouth. I would advise you the following in such a situation: Check for all the factors just mentioned above. Consult your Pediatrician for clinical evaluation so that any other reason like stomach flu can be diagnosed. Also send the stool and blood for tests to find or rule out the intestinal bacterial infection; symptomatic treatment and specific management as per the cause thus found.
