What Could Be The Reason For Vaginal Itching, Redness And Discharge On The Week Before Periods?

Hi starting about two months ago I started have vaginal itching, redness and discharge the week before my menstrual cycle what could be the cause. I've had a pap smear done and everything was normal. The doctor said my vagina looked normal, so I don't know what the problem could be, please help.

I've gone through your query. I can understand your anxiety.

Your complaints of vaginal itching & discharge could be due to UTI caused by bacteria or yeast or it could be due the cosmetics of any used. I advice you to,
- Take a course of antibiotics once a day for 5days
- maintain strict vaginal hygiene
- Avoid vaginal tampons
- Daily Sitz bath
- Analgesics( Ibuprofen ) to get relieved of pain
- wear cotton innerwear.
