What Could Be The Reason For Ringworm In Mustache Not Clearing Even After Applying Cream And Taking Antibiotics?
Hi, I have been treating ringworm in my mustache under my nose for 5 weeks using cream twice a day & 20 days of antibiotics but my ringworm is still not completely gone. Shouldn't it have cleared up by now? Could their be a reason why it will not clear up?
Hi, Thanks for writing to us. Ringworm in bear area is usually treated with oral antifungals like terbinafine or fluconazole along with topical antifungals like clotrimazole/ miconazole/ sertraconazole/eberconazole/ terbinafine/ luliconazole etc. As such tinea infection over face may take some time to resolve. At the same time it has to be seen if accurate diagnosis was made and an appropriate treatment was suggested. As to why your lesion has not responded, I would like to know what medicines were prescribed for your lesion. Also if possible an image of concerned area should be uploaded. The same can be done by using premium features of this website Hope this helped.
