What Could Be The Reason For Having Red Boil On My Baby's Face?

I have a baby of 3 weeks. He seems to have red boil on his face. I am wondering if it could be chickenpox. My Mom was just diagnosed with Shingles and she has been taking care of cooking at home. However as soon as she was diagnosed she has never had any contact with the baby

greetings,
normally chicken pox start with rashes on the trunk(abdomen, chest or upper limbs).but then again there can be exceptions.
you should apply some soothing agent like calamine and wait for the the progression in case it occurs.if it does you should consult the doctor immediately as a physical examination is a must.
hopefully it will go off.
thans and regards.
