What Could Be The Reason For Having A Dark Patch Between My Collar Bone And Neck?

Dark patch between collar bone and left side of neck,and above the collar bone away from the neck ,swollen puffy patch,no pain,has ultra sound nothing sinister found,this has being there for several years.I work in filing area ,oncology dept,specialist there also looked at it,but no diagnosis.Thanks for a opinion.

I can understand your concern for having a dark patch between collar bone and neck. There can be multiple possibilities of the same and it requires a close physical examination to diagnose the exact entity of the problem.

In my view correlating with the facts you have provided it appears to be either a nevi or post inflammatory hyper-pigmentation.

I suggest you to meet a dermatologist to for proper therapy. Do not try to pinch, pop or squeeze the area as it may cause irritation of the area.

Protect yourself from direct sunlight.
