What Could Be The Cause Of Convulsions With Severe Stomach Cramps?

Hello! First I should start off my saying that IBS, acid reflux and hiatal hernias are very common in my family. All 3 of my sister have some, if not all 3 of the issues stated above. I am 25 and recently have had major health issues. I want to give you a bit of information leading up to my illness. I know this is long but I feel that in order to grasp the what might be going on I have to give you the important details of my journey this far. Here goes...I went on a diet back in February. This was suggested by my PCP. I have PCOS and the diet I was on was to help me lose weight. I cut out carbs, sugar and dairy products. I lost 35 pounds. I then got sick in the beginning of July. I started vomitting and having severe stomach cramps. This went on for about 2 weeks. I could only keep down crackers and water. I was feeling weak and icky for awhile but it was manageable, then a new symptom occurred. Towards the end of August I developed convulsions (full body spasms). This is nothing unfamiliar to me because 2 out of 3 of my sisters had the same symptoms. Although I had witnessed this before I had never experienced it myself. I am fully conscious during these episodes. They can last from 45 minutes to 3 hours. Sometimes my fingers cramp up and I can t move them. This was happening several times a week for about a month. Went to E.R. They prescribed dicyclomine and I went on my way. I was free of any type of convulsion for a month. I then went to work one day and it happened again only it was getting progressively worse. I went home tried to recoup and go back to work where it happened again but the worse it s ever been. I was dry heaving, gasping for air (it was like my lungs were affected by it) and flopping around like a fish. Was transported to E.R. Then admitted to the hospital. Every test came back normal. Nothing wrong neurologically, no infection of any kind. Sent home, saw a bunch of doctors. Found out by a cardiologist I have an increased heart rate so he put me on beta blockers and had my dicyclomine refilled by my new PCP. As of today I have lost 50 pounds. Together both of those medications have seemed to help with keeping my symptoms at bay BUT I still have the constant spasms just below my breast bone. It is nowhere near as spastic as it was but I can still feel it throughout the day, sometimes all day. It s NOT in my head, it s not an infection, it s nothing neurological. So what can be causing this? I have only found one doctor who is willing to research this. How can I have these symptoms and 2 of my 3 sisters had similar symptoms as well and no one know or be willing to find out? I just want to know if there is a cause for the convulsions? And if there is a name for what we (my sisters) and I have? Any ideas would be of help. Thanks for taking the time to read and reflect on this. I really appreciate it!!!

Homeopath 's  Response
Hello,
Welcome to HCM,
You and your sister have these problems, means it is connected with some hereditary factor. It is not necessary that there is a same history in your family to make it hereditary. But after evaluation of your family history, hereditary factor may find out.
Another thing that your all problems like PCOS, digestive problem, spasm, etc, are surely connected with each other. Till date you are treated by considering all problem separately and problem is on increasing path.
Most of the physical problems have connection with mental state. It does not mean that person have psychiatric problem. But there is some issue at mental level in terms of stress, anxiety, tension, shock, grief, anger, etc, which work as a triggering factor.
To know the exact phenomenon and proper treatment then detailed history is must. After that proper homeopathic medicine will help you.
Homeopathic treatment is based on total understanding of patient on physical and mental level. And that's why detail history of patient is needed for proper homeopathic treatment.
So consult to good classical homeopath nearby you or contact us.
