What Could Be The Cause Of Burning And Hot Eyes ?

I have always been prone to eye infections . This one started a week ago. I have itchy, burning, runny an goopy eyes.I stopped using makeup an contacts then. The contacts I use are dailys. I went to the eye doctor today and was told its not pink eye or bacterial . Something I may haveto live with like allergies . He gave me drops lotemax and zaditor. My eyes are not as itchy after the drops but still burn. Now they feel feverish. I m using a compress but when removed it it returns. What could this be?

Hi , your symptoms looks like Contact Lens(CL) induced Allergic Conjunctivitis. Stop wearing CL for at least 3 to 4 weeks until you are free of your itching and redness. And this type of Conjunctivitis will itself cause inadequate tear secretion which is the reason for your burning.
I would suggest using a good preservative free lubricating eye drop along with your current medications for a symptomatic relief.
I don't think fever is related to this. And do check for the condition of your CL, did you use any new brand of cleansing solution or prolonged wearing of the CL should also be kept in mind.
Hope you recover faster.
