Hello,

Thanks for writing to us.

Toothache is due to the infected vital pulp which still remains within your incomplete root canal treated tooth.

Bad breath can be due to food lodgement within the involved or due to poor oral hygiene maintenance.

I would suggest you to get a thorough scaling done .

Get the root canal treatment completed .

Take complete course of amoxycillin along with analgesics to prevent underlying infection.

Hope this helps.

according to information given by you if your root canal treatment is incomplete it can all happen as a consequence first consult your dental surgeon and get your treatment completed. in the meanwhile you can take some good analgesics like diclofenac or nimuslide or etodolac with antibiotic lkie amoxicillin.
also start doing warm saline gargles and try to maintain good oral hygeine

Dear friend.

Thanks for sharing your concern.

Please get your root canal treatment done.partial or incomplete treatment may cause continuous pain followed by abscess and further damaging the surrounding tissues too.

Therefore please see your dentist soon.
Medication alone would not help much.It requires intervention too.

Hope it helps.

Thanks.

Take care.

hi...
thanks for the query..'
well it seems to be reinfection of the tooth... and might require re RCT of the tooth...
foul smell can be due to infection or can be due to accumulation of any food material inside the cavity...
so go for its clinical and radiographic examination again... get your involved tooth opened... your symptoms will be relieved...
hope it will help you...
take care...

Hi,
Welcome to HCM forum,
As you have swelling and pain on left side so first get your root canal treatment done.
Consult your dentist for completion of root canal treatment of that tooth, Don't go for extraction.
Take Amoxicillin 500mg, Metronidazole 400mg and Tab Chymocip 2 times for 3 days.
Take care.

Hi,

Thanks for asking the query,

As you have mentioned that your root canal treatment is incomplete pain can be due to incomplete done procedure or reinfection in the canal.
Bad breath occurs due to food accumulation.
I would encourage you to take an x-ray of the affected tooth and get the treatment completed.
Take a course of antibiotics and analgesics under prescription of your Dentist.
Maintain a good oral hygiene.

Hope this helps out.

Regards...

Welcome to Healthcare Magic
You can apply cold pack over the left cheek with precaution to not cause damage avoiding excessive cold. Also take pain killer like Diclofenac under medical supervision over food and lots of water to relieve the pain and swelling. Avoid eating hard, spicy food. Eat semisolid to liquid food like ice cream, yoghurt which is cold as well.
