What Could Be Cause Of Heavy Cough Of Infant?

My wife is breastfeeding her daughter.. for somedays she is facing problem due to heavy cough.. i already take advise of a doctor.. he said this is not due to cold.. Doctors suggested for a test in her chest.. and report is normal.. Doctor is not sure why she is coughing a lott..
