What Causes Yellowish Discharge And Itching Around The Vagina?

I was diagnosed with PID and give some antibiotics tablets, injections, and vaginal tablets.I continued the treatment and made a mistake with the injection. In the injection pack, there were two bottles of water while injection was in powdered form.I was told it would b mixed but had no idea of which of the bottles to use in mixing it.I went to meet the doctor who prescribed the injection and he said the two bottles of water were the same that one was just an extra. With this information,my mum who is a nurse gave me the injection with one of the bottles of water and I was took take it for 6 days. It was on the 3rd day that I read the instructions that one of the bottles was to be mixed to be given in the vein, while the other was to be mixed to give in the muscle and I had already been taking the one mixed with the water for the vein. Then my mum got scared and stopped giving me the injections. The next 2 days,I fell sick. I started taking malaria drugs along with my antibiotics drugs for the PID too plus the insertion. Then I got well and was perfectly ok. 3 days later. I had sex with my boyfriend but we used a condom. Nothing was wrong. The next day after the sex,my vagina started getting SUPER itchy. I went to get a vaginal cream and rubbed it and slept off. I couldn t sleep because of the itching. The next morning my vagina was swollen. Looking so big it almost looked like a penis. My mum was scared. I kept on using the cream. The next day I noticed that rashes had covered my vagina and even spread to my laps a bit down to my anus and it ws super itchy and swollen and almost spreading to my tummy. I continued using the cream, hoping it will go. Yesterday,I started noticing ayellowish discharge looking like pus. I became confused not knowing whether I was reating to the condom or whether I have an infection again that was probably caused by the antibiotics. Today my vagina is back to normal but it is shrink and soft and squeezed like an old lady s skin.I m not bleeding. Here I am still scratching,I don t know what to do. The yellow discharge hasn t stopped but the itching is reducing and the swollen red laps and anus and reducing. Pls what s wrong with me!! Help me!! Am I reacting to the condom? Am I having another infection probably caused by the too much antibiotics? Do I have cancer of the laps or vagina or anus or something?? Pls help me I m scared!!

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be infections like bacterial vaginosis or yeast.

Go for a vaginal swab to make diagnosis.

The symptoms are more consistent with infective causes like yeast or bacterial vaginosis. Consult a gynecologist and plan for a vaginal swab to confirm the diagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Shinas Hussain,
