What Causes Weight Loss In A New Born Baby?
My daughter is not producing any milk, ... only a few drops, she is nursing almost constantly - baby is 5 days old and has lost 11 % body weight....he seems hungary even after 30 minutes a breast. She is using the breast pump after each feeding and in between....could there be a medical problem? Is that much weight loss to be concerned about?

It is normal for baby to loose weight in first 10 days.
Mother should take plenty of fluids and nutritious diet which will help in milk production.
In case baby is active and passing adequate urine there is nothing to worry.
