What Causes Tiredness With A History Of Strep Throat?
Hi, I ve been diagnosed with strep throat, with no throat swab taken. My son s swab was negative, and I had the same symptoms. I m on day 4 of Biaxin. Last night I was very cold and shivered throughout the night. I assumed I had a fever and took my temp this morning. Orally it was 35.0C, repeated 3 times. My skin felt chilled, even though I just got out of bed so was fully covered, in pjs and had a heating pad to my lower back because it was so sore. I had felt quite abit better on day 2 of Biaxin, but today I m super tired, my sinus symptoms are returning. Should I return to our Dr for possibly a different antibiotic?

Noted your history of sore throat and taking Clarithromycin in name of Biaxin, no fever but developing tiredness and return of sinus symptoms, son's throat swab was negative.
Return of sinus symptoms and sore throat indicate a combination of allergic problem along with probable infective origin with a virus or bacterium.
Hence I would advise you the following:
As per your history, you should consult your Doctor for an actual examination, clinical evaluation and investigations of blood and throat swab for gram staining, culture and sensitivity.
This will give an idea to your Doctor so that an appropriate antibiotic may be changed over if needed,
Additional symptomatic and supportive medicines as per the symptoms that you have.
Take complete bed rest if you want to recover faster and better.
Plenty of warm fluids.
