What Causes Swollen Taste Buds With Ageusia?

Hello, I have these swollen taste buds which were very painful at first. I took some vitamins and the pains went down. I saw a doctor who told me its a vitamin deficiency and encouraged me to improve my fruits intake. Few days later i had a salty taste, and now i have no taste at all especially at the tongue tip where taste sensation is almost localized!!! AGE-30yo HEIGHT-1.67m SEX-Male WEIGHT-60Kg

HI
Well come to HCM
Thank for asking
Your query being appreciated, the described condition could be due to stomatitis and it can be infection too in most of the cases it happens due to dental condition so I would like to advise you to see the dentist first, meanwhile Povidone Iodine gargle can be tried,
It can be due to folic acid deficiency you can even try oral folic acid tablet twice in day (The better way to have this therapy is first get done the folic acid test )
hope this information helps.
