What Causes Swollen Feet And Dizziness?

Hi, I am an active 41 year old that is not overweight. I exercise weekly by running and yoga. I have been experiencing dizzy spells, room spinning and my feet just started retaining water. My feet are swollen and I can hear the water in my feet. I am concerned because this has never happen before. What could it be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello!
I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

Symptoms of dizziness and edema in legs might be related to :
-Heart disease.I would suggest a complete cardiac work-up including physical examination,ECG,Heart ultrasound.
-Kidney disease.
You should run some tests to exclude this :-Kidney function tests (Serum creatinine,BUN) ,kidney ultrasound.
-Liver conditions .
-Anemia .Run a blood test (complete blood count) to exclude this.
-Some medications

You need a complete evaluation.
I suggest to consult a physician and get examined.

Hope my answer has helped.
Take care
