What Causes Sudden Fainting In A Child While Eating An Ice Cream?

Hi, I have a similar case to this one, in a 5 years old:my 3 year old child fainted today. she was outside in the hot sun and was eating an ice popsicle. she suddenly cried out. walked 2 feet to where her mother was and fainted. i picked her up straight away and she awoke. when asked she said she had a pain around the nasel area but does not remember fainting .any clue?I suspect vaso-vagal fainting due to the cold popsicle She had a similar case 3 years ago, which ended in pre-syncope. (she didn't faint as happened today...)In the last 3 years she has eaten hundreds of ice popsicles and ice creams, nothing happend....Thanks.

Pediatrician 's  Response
It might still be a vasovagal attack. Has your child any dental problems like fillings, etc.? Because the raw nerve roots at the base of the teeth are connected to the vagus nerve. When these nerve roots get irritated, she might experience a short period of fainting, but when they are not irritated, she might eat her entire ice cream without any problems.
