What Causes Stomach Pain And Red Blood In Stool?

I am debating whether to go to ER. Had an ulcer due to too much acid. This morning saw lots of fresh / red blood in spool and have been having stomach pain for a week (but no bleeding). I don t feel dizzy took 3 Sucralfate 1 TGM pills and am eating peanut butter, cremcy . Waiting to see if I bleed some more.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to stomach ulcer. I recommend using daily antacids such as Maalox three tablets a day. I also recommend to use PPI medication to low the acidity in the stomach. I recommend using Pantoprazole daily in the morning before breakfast.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
