What Causes Stomach Pain And Nausea?

I have been experiencing some stomach pain. It is not constant. I get the odd shooting pain from either the right or left side. I feel hungry, but yet feel somewhat nauseaous when I eat. It's been going on for a few days now. I don't have any real regularity to my bowel movements. I'm a 26 year old male, about 5'6", 170 lbs.
