What Causes Stiff Neck With Pain?
Hi. My symptoms are: Left and back side of neck very stiff and sore to the touch. Feels like a have a bruised muscle in my neck. Hard to swallow , especially on left side of throat. Left ear starting to hurt. All of these symptoms just started 3 days ago. I have an appointment with the dr office this Friday. No fever or headache. Just very stiff neck with pain.

It possibly could be a case of wry neck where the muscles of neck goes in spasm and become sore.
I would suggest you to take tab diclofenac for one week and you'll get relief from your symptoms.
