What Causes Sore Throat, cough Along With Blood In Phlegm?
I have a dry cough and my throat is very itchy and when I cough up flem there s blood in it.....this happened 3wks ago and I had a fever for 3 days....now it came back but my throat is worse then ever....I can swallow foods and liquids no problem but if I don t drink water it makes my cough much worse. What do you think this could be???
The symptoms seem to be related to a respiratory tract infection. I recommend using a mucolytic for the cough such as Mucinex. I also suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the symptoms. Based on the fact that you have three weeks with the symptoms, I suggest to take oral antibiotics such as Augmentin 625 mg. I recommend to drink liquids and rest.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
