General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

The lump which was present in your armpit for years is sebaceous cyst. Now it has gotten infected so the abscess has formatted. Arm swelling and pain indicates inflammation which is spreading. That is why I suggest you to do not wait any longer.
Please visit a surgeon. The lump should be incised and pus drained.

Hope this will help.
Regards.
