Dear sir/madam, by ur description u have lung disease and probable heart disease secondary to lung problem(cor pulmonale). That's why they have put u on lasix. Lasix causes hypokalemia ( low potassium) which in turn causes muscle cramps. So monitor electrolytes in ur blood and if needed can be corrected. Ur shortness of breath and fast heart beat is due to heart/lung problem. Ideally restrict water intake and use bronchodilators for emphysema.
