What Causes Severe Abdominal Pain After The Abortion?

Hi. I had a surgical abortion a month ago. It was successful and all went well. I have.not had any pain or problems and have yet to have my next period since the abortion. The past couple of days I've had an intense menstrual like cramp that comes and goes suddenly. It hurts enough to keep me in bed but i have no idea if it is normal to have pain or if I should be concerned. It worries me. Please could you give.me some advice?

Hi there,

The first period after the abortion can be erratic.

You can take mefenemic acid for the cramps. Your period can be expected any time soon.

Do not worry.

If you have not got your period for more than 2 month then do a urine pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy.
