What Causes Severe Abdominal Pain After Intercourse?
I recently lost my virginity and have been having successful intercourse. However I have also recently started experiencing severe abdominal pain in all regions, sometimes a few hours after I've had intercourse. The pain sometimes runs through the course of an hour even when I am resting with it. Is this somehow related to my sexual activity? Any ideas aside if not? I will also mention I exercise regularly, but have not been doing any irregular routines.
Hello, Intercourse does not cause severe abdominal pain unless there is another precipitating factor like pelvic infection, cysts of the ovary which could have ruptured during the process, rough intercourse causing stress on the abdominal muscles, especially in the missionary position and so on. Please see a specialist for a clinical appraisal of the situation. Hectic exercise can also sometimes lead to generalized moderate pains. Sonogram of the abdomen and pelvis, urinalysis and blood counts can be of use. Hope this helps.
