Hi,
Fluctuations in the amount and duration of menstrual flow can be seen sometimes due to many factors like:
- Stress and strain like psychological factors
- Changes in diet, sleep, exercise like physiological factors
-
Polycystic ovarian disease,
thyroid abnormalities like
hormonal factors, etc.
- Recent infections, fever, drug intake, etc. also by affecting the general health can lead to menstrual irregularities.
If you have any doubt regarding the
pregnancy, please go for a urine pregnancy test once. If the test gives a negative result, you can wait and watch. You may get normal flow in the next few days. You can continue treatment for yeast infection. If the scanty flow persists in the next months also, better to get evaluated. Investigations like complete blood picture,
ultrasound, thyroid profile, etc can help in finding the possible cause of the problem and treatment can be taken accordingly.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
