What Causes Runny Nose And Watery Eyes?

My daughter has what I think are allergies. Her nose is runny, clear mucus, and her eyes were watering yesterday. Today her eyes have a green discharge along with the runny nose. I ve been giving her medicine for her allergies because two weeks ago she was throwing up on and off in the mornings, the doctor said it was most likely due to post nasal drip and to give her medicine at night to reduce the drip. Is this still just more allergies with her eyes? If so what else can I do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The symptoms of your daughter seem to be related to an allergy.
I suggest giving her an antihistamine such as Cetirizine.
I also suggest using an artificial eye drop to reduce the inflammation of the conjunctiva

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
