What Causes Recurring Sore Throat, Ear Pain And Coughing?
About 3 weeks ago I deceloped a really bad sore throat accompanied by ear pain and persistent cough. I was examined by my GP and he told me that I had excessive post nasal drip. However, after two weeks of treatment, I got better. Now, I am feeling this sore throat again.

Sometimes bad weather, allergens, post infection cause the sore throat time and again. If you don't have any high grade fever with it, then there is nothing to worry about and conservative treatment will be helpful. Please take Tab Zyrtec for 2 weeks, Flonase nasal Spray 2 puffs twice a day for 2 weeks, warm saline gargles twice a day, steam inhalation twice a day with some liquid Vicks in it for 2 weeks and Dayquil / Nyquil.
I am sure that the above treatment will take care of your symptoms. If symptoms persists, then please visit your local ENT doctor for further assessment and management. Hope you feel better soon with this treatment.
