What Causes Pain In Lower Right Side After Irrigating His Stoma?

Hi my 5 year old son has Hirschsprung s disease & has a colostomy, we irrigate his stoma every night as it doesn t function well. Tonight he has been complaining of lower right side pain after his irrigation I m worried this might be an appendicitis, I don t think he has a blockage Thanks

It may be parastomal hernia, but also appendicitis cant be ruled out especially if there is nausea, vomit, fever and loss of apetite so considering his previous disease, it would be good to visit hospital and do additional tests.
