What Causes Pain In Gallbladder And Arm Along With Numbness In Right Side Of Body?

I have been having major pains in my gallbladder area. I have had many tests and nothing has shown up except high white blood count. For 2 weeks I finally felt better. I was on an antibiotic for something else. Today it has all come back but my arm is numb on my right side. Can that be common with Gallbladder issues? I hate to go back to the ER and them do more tests to find nothing.

Hi,

Pain in the gallbladder area, along with numbness in the right side of the body, may indicate a serious medical condition that requires immediate medical attention. There are several possible causes of these symptoms, including:
* Gallstones: Gallstones are a common cause of pain in the gallbladder area. They can cause inflammation of the gallbladder (cholecystitis) and may require surgery to remove the gallbladder.
* Pancreatitis: Inflammation of the pancreas can cause pain in the upper abdomen that may radiate to the back or shoulder. Numbness in the arm may also occur in severe cases.
* Heart attack: A heart attack can cause pain in the chest or upper abdomen that may radiate to the left arm, neck, or jaw. Numbness or tingling in the right arm can also occur in some cases.
* Pinched nerve: A pinched nerve in the neck or shoulder can cause numbness or tingling in the arm and may be accompanied by pain in the upper abdomen.
* Other conditions: Other conditions such as liver disease, hepatitis, or an ulcer may also cause pain in the upper abdomen.

It is important to seek medical attention immediately if you are experiencing these symptoms, especially if they are severe or persistent. Your doctor may need to perform additional tests to determine the underlying cause of your symptoms and develop an appropriate treatment plan.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hi,

The pain in the gallbladder area and the numbness in the right arm may or may not be related. The pain in the gallbladder area could be due to gallstones or inflammation of the gallbladder. The numbness in the right arm could be due to nerve compression or injury, and may or may not be related to the gallbladder issue.

It is important to seek medical attention if you are experiencing symptoms such as pain in the gallbladder area and numbness in the right arm. These symptoms may indicate a more serious underlying condition, such as a blood clot or nerve damage.

Your healthcare provider can perform a physical exam and order any necessary tests to determine the underlying cause of your symptoms and recommend the appropriate treatment. Depending on the cause of your symptoms, treatment options may include medication, surgery, or other interventions to relieve pain and improve function.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
