Please help. I am a 21 year old male and for the first time in my life my anal hurts when I pass stools, before and after. Its been ongoing for 3 weeks now. It used to bleed when i wiped, but the bleeding stopped for over a week now and all i feel is pain in my anus. I dont have the money to go see a doctor
Thank you for contacting HCM. There are many causes for anal pain. some common one which need to be ruled out first is thrombozed hemorrhoids and anal fissure. bleeding is more common with thrombozed but can seen in anal fissure as well.
try simple measures like avoiding constipation. maintain soft to liquid stools so that you know need to strain. this prevents pain. sitz bath. expose your anal region to hot shower if that soothens. apply preparation H cream.
are you having any fever or chills. do you see any pus coming out the anal area.
some patients with lot of hair in that region are prone to get pilonidal sinus which needs surgical correction.
fever and chills could be from abscess and infection, then needs to see the doctor.
please reply us if you need any more clarification. hope you find some simple solution with less expense.
take care
