I very recently (12 days ago) had a left colon resection via Laparoscopy (sp) Surgery. My recovery seems to be coming along quite well. I was home from the hospital after only 2 days. I started having bowel movements within about 4 days. They were somewhat irregular but have been coming more (may be too frequent) frequent and regular the past several days. It is now becoming quite painful to have a bowel movement. There is a lot of pain and burning during and right after. I think I may now have Hemorrhoids because there is also some bright red blood when I wipe. Is this unusual? My stools are pretty soft so I am not constipated or forcing it. The only relief I can seem to get is by going into a warm bath afterwards for a while. Should I be concerned so close to surgery?
