Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Nausea, Vomiting And Yellowish Stuff During Bowel Movements?
I m 62, have intermittently had pain+nausea+vomiting foamy/clear/or yellowish stuff during bowel movements -not all bowel movements. It has become more frequent. Sometimes the stool is hard, sometimes its soft. It is not linked with certain foods. I see a GI doctor and recently had a benign colonscopy. I haven t heard of anything like this, but was wondering if it could have anything to do with the vagus nerve? I ve seen several other people on this site and others and no possibilities for these symptoms. I would just really like to find out what could be causing this so I can get help or ideas toward help.
The vagus nerve does not sound to be responsible for such presentation rather than inflammatory bowel condition with digestive enzymes and gut flora disturbances is the key factor likely to be involved here.
Better to consult gastro enterologist for the best review and results rather than loosing time and worrying.
Best methods for primary adoption of better result oriented strategy would be
- strict diet control with bland, vegan diet
- plenty of liquids
- primary prescription of anti emetic as ondansetron, PPI as omeprazole from your PCP
- avoid stress, anxiety
- no smoking or alcohol consumption if doing
- pre and probiotics are very key role players in such cases.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
