How To Prevent Vasovagal Response From Happening After Colposcopy?
I am scheduled for a colposcopy tomorrow morning. This isn t my first one, and I have had a vasovagal response in the past. I also had a vasovagal reaction when my IUD was inserted and when I was given Pertussin to deliver my son. Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening tomorrow?

Hi,
Micropil contains Norethisterone 400 mcg and Ethinyl Estradiol 35 mcg as progesterone and estrogen components, respectively. It is used for regularization of menstrual cycle and also for contraceptive purpose.
If you want the tablets only for regularization of the menstrual cycle the options are:
- Taking progesterone only tablets in the second half of the cycle.
- Using combined hormonal pills with a low dose of hormones
- Treating the cause for irregular menstrual periods.
By doing investigations like complete blood picture, thyroid profile and ultrasound the possible cause of menstrual irregularity can be identified and treatment can be taken accordingly. For loosing weight better to go for physiological methods like regular calories burning exercises, balanced healthy diet, etc. So, please discuss these things with your gynecologist and proceed accordingly.
