What Causes Loss Of Hearing After An Ear Infection?

How do i get rid of hearing loss from an inner ear infection after i have finished some antibiotics from the hospital. I am 27yrs old and i am a type 2 diabetic. I have been suffering hearing loss for 10 days of now and i was put on a z-pack 10 days ago. i am 5'5 and weigh 123lbs

Hi.
First of all remember the healing process in a patient of known diabetes is going to be difficult, delayed and may be erratic.

Secondly the hearing loss due to pure infection can be regained completely. But takes weeks together .
Get a preliminary audiomery done, tympanotomy if there is a fluid inside.
Get another course of an antibiotic , antihistamine, nasal decongestant drops, anti-inflammatory medicines to be continued up to 3 weeks.
Steroids can not be given as you are a diabetic.
Get Diabetes well under control, otherwise recovery will not be there.
