What Causes Loss In Appetite?

I'm 40 and have lost my appetite. I haven't eaten in 9 days. I'm not hungry and when I try to eat I want to throw it back up. I've been to a doctor 2 days ago and he wasn't concerned. Apparently me being dizzy, headache and not eating is not concerning to him. Well I'm concerned and I don't know where to turn.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Loss of appetite for prolonged period can caused by various reasons like infection( bacterial/ viral), psychological causes like anxiety, depression, physical causes like liver/ kidney/ heart failure, hypothyroidism, rarely cancer and some medications may also lead to loss of appetite. so try to consult another physician for proper guidance as loss of appetite for prolonged period may lead to serious problem. it is necessary to rule out exact cause for which some investigations like liver/ kidney/ thyroid function test, USG of abdomen, complete blood count should be done.
Take care, bye.
