What Causes Light Spotting And Bloating Of Stomach?

Hello Doctor...Good Afternoon.I have planned for my first baby 2 month ago.I took home pregnancy test and it came negative.But I feel I am pregnant as I am getting lighter period and period is coming at 20 days instead of my normal period of 28 days.I am feeling some kind of heaviness below my stomach.     Please suggest.

Hi,

Just feeling of heaviness below stomach or slight change in menstrual pattern like getting lighter period as well as shorter cycle of 20 days, are not any sign of pregnancy. HPT usually gives very precise results with very less failure in predicting a pregnancy. If you are still in doubt, then blood test for HCG level may be undertaken, which may confirm/rule out a pregnancy.
