What Causes Itchy Bumps On The Body After Taking Hizentra?

I ve been taking hizentra subcontaneuosly weekly for eight weeks. Now have itching and small bumps on torso and itchy patch on shin, and now my gland or throat at front right of neck is tender and sore. Not sure if all are related. Happy with hizentra results as far as infection and sinus occurrences though. Any suggestions?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, it can be local fungal or herpes infection but after current medication fungal infection tendency may increase.

Also monospot test and throat cultures are recommended with the set of symptoms you mentioned. Cultures from rash should also be sought. Infectious mononucleosis etc., should also be ruled out.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
