What Causes Hunger Pangs And Excessive Salivation?
I had some sinus congestion for about 3 days. And then all of sudden one day, i felt hunger pangs and excessive salivation (tingly feelings like i was just offered hot cinnamon gum or candy). These hunger pangs and tingling and salivation have continued now for well over 2 weeks, 24/7. I tried Prilosec and now am on day 5 of Nexium. No real change to speak of, except perhaps my stomach doesnt feel quite as bad. I m quite concerned about the salivation. There is no pain associated with my glands, and they seem normal size. My family doctor thought perhaps the gland thing was in response to acid reflux. But I seem to have no symptoms of heartburn or those kinds of things. Just a tight feeling in the tummy, feeling mostly like hunger

I really appreciate your concern, certain obvious reasons are there as long as the excessive salivation are concern, like oral lesion, GI symptoms or disease (Liver pathology ) history of anxiolytic drugs, and last but not least it could be due to hyperacidity some it may not shows the exact or the typical symptoms of it, I would suggest to start Tab Omeprazole 40 mg once in day Tab Domperidone 20 mg once in day, Tab Dicyclomine once in day, ideally such case demands certain tests and clinical examination for better diagnosis and treatment, hope this information helps.
