What Causes High Heart Rate?
Had ablation last year for AVNRT, successful. I still suffer from PVCs. Lately they are trigeminal -beat beat pause. Had an episode of this the other day and suddenly heartrate jumped to 160, got real scared. I took .25 xanax and calmed down. Cant take betablockers since I have low BP. What are my options and how dangerous is heartrate of 160?

I would like to tell you if you are experiencing episodes of tachycardia or heart rate more than 160 then there is possibility of AVNRT re-attack.
It's advisable for you to undergo HOLTER monitoring atleast for 48 hours to evaluate significant pauses and AVNRT. You can personally meet a Cardiologist and can discuss about cardio slelective beta blockers that don't lowers BP
