What Causes High ESR Levels And Breathlessness?

My wife, age 45years, has been having low grade fever during the day and around 101f at evening. Blood test shows high esr of 110, and chest xray shows slight patches.Breathlessness on activity. Although there is almost no cough, neither joint pain. She was having pain and itching while passing urine earlier. There is fatigue and weakness. Her gall bladder had been removed 15 years back, and there have been some complications regarding it.Recurrent and swelling around the gall bladder area.

Pulmonologist 's  Response
thanks for asking your question
I completely understand your question
these symptoms of weakness , decreased appetite , fever , evening rise in temperature can be due to tuberculosis .
opacities in chest xray can be a leading point towards tb
you need to consult a pulmonologist who can confirm the diagnosis by some investigations like sputum smear for afb.
he can also rule out other possibilities
sputum afb smear if a definitive test for tb .
no need to panic
thanks
feel free to ask more questions
may god bless you with good health
