What Causes Heart Palpitations?

I am a 63 year old woman in good health but have been having palpitations off and on for a few years. I have seen a cardiologist and was given a clean bill of health as far as heart health. I am taking 25 mg of Toprol daily but still have palpitations. I recently had an Echocardiogram and an EKG at a Health Fair and was told I have Atrial Fib. I will be seeing a new cardiologist in the near future. My BP ranges anywhere from 111/66 to 135/84 at times, often within minutes of each other and lately my pulse readings are in the low range of 60. Am I destined to have a pace maker or is there a medication that can help my situation?

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your concern looking to the history given here I could say that the palpitation is very common complain among the female patients with no specific reason even all the investigation turns unremarkable the functional elements could be the reason of this, and this is nothing to worry, hope this information helps you, take care and have a nice day.
