my heart has been rapidly beating since last night with a sick stomach i smoke but have not touch any today i am off them now i get some palpitations as well im very worried can you tell me what you think? i am 25 and eight to eight and a half stone, i had full blood tests done maybe two months ago and they were fine. i always felt heatlhly even though i have bein smoking near ten years more.
Regarding your concern, I would explain that your symptoms could be related to gastritis or anxiety.
Coming to this point, I would recommend taking omeprazole or pantoprazole. If these drugs help improve your situation, I would recommend continue on this therapy, until consulting with your doctor for a gastro-intestinal endoscopy.
Otherwise, if your symptoms persist, I would recommend going to the ER for a physical exam and some tests:
- a resting ECG - a chest X ray study - complete blood count for anemia - blood electrolytes for possible imbalance - thyroid hormone levels.
Hope to have been helpful!
Kind regards,
Dr. Iliri
