What Causes Headaches Along With Earache And Blurred Vision?

I started with what I thought was a sinus infection (since I have had them in the past). Went to urgent care three times with the following systems: headaches, sharp pains in the head(they have since disappeared) and pain in my ears. Also some blurry vision up close. Three anabiotics with no relief. Went to ENT and he didn t find anything in my ears but has ordered a CT scan. The headaches aren t has bad but still there. Ear pain is off and on. The headaches are all over the head and both ears have pain but not constant I am thinking there maybe something else going on. I also have stiff neck sometimes. Thank for any support

General & Family Physician 's  Response
hello!!
Dear,Thanks for referring to HCM !!

I completely understand your concern and your pain which has chronically effected you.

From your symptoms it appears to me that it is a typical case of migraine. If I had a patient with these symptoms I would have examined features like

1)vision power as defective vision leads to headache.
2) checked his blood pressure, sometimes high blood pressure is a cause.
3) tenderness over cheek bones when applied pressure, this will indicate sinusitis.
4) light flashes, aura, radiating pain to ear, back of head, one sided headache.these are seen in migraine, mostly due to some triggering factors like sunlight, sounds etc.

In your case we can have a x ray done to rule out other causes. You can get prescribed anti migraine drugs .

At present you can take analgesics like paracetamol to get a relief.
There are other methods to treat such conditions like practising yoga and meditation, which my patients have reported to be very beneficial.

-Kindly see that you maintain a chart of drugs for follow up reference.

You shall be fine sir/madam.

Hope i have helped you. TC
thanks.
with Best regards
